HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN OUR PLANET REALLY SUPPORT

We don't know if today's population of seven billion is remotely sustainable, or what the limit is.
Are there really too many people on our planet? It is clear to all of us that the planet is not expanding. There is only so much space on Earth, not to mention only so many resources that can support a human population.
"It is not the number of people on the planet that is the issue – but the number of consumers and the scale and nature of their consumption,"  or "The world has enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed." are phrases of experts in this matter.
While the planet might hold over 11 billion people by the end of the century, our current level of knowledge does not allow us to predict whether such a large population is sustainable, simply because it has never happened before.
The most of the growth over the next two decades is predicted to be in urban centres in what are currently low and middle-income countries.
There are many low-income urban dwellers whose consumption is so low that they contribute almost nothing to greenhouse gas emissions.
It is not the rise in population by itself that is the problem, but rather the even more rapid rise in global consumption (which of course is unevenly distributed), says Will Steffen.
This leads to an uncomfortable implication: people living in high-income nations must play their part if the world is to sustain a large human population.
Even if those changes occur, it seems unlikely that our planet could really sustain a population of 11 billion, one solution is that we should stabilise the global population, hopefully at around nine billion, and then begin a long, slow trend of decreasing population. That means reducing fertility rates. What is urgently needed, then, is ways to speed up the decline in fertility rates.
For the foreseeable future, Earth is our only home and we must find a way to live on it sustainably.

INTRODUCTION GLOBAL ISSUES

What is the Paris climate agreement?
The deal unites all the world's nations in a single agreement on tackling climate change for the first time in history.
However, scientists point out that the Paris accord must be stepped up if it is to have any chance of curbing dangerous climate change.
The most key element in the Paris climate argeement is to limit the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by human activity to the same levels that trees, soil and oceans can absorb naturally.
Money has been a sticking point throughout the negotiation, because the poor countries say that they need a financal and technological help. The deal says wealthy countries should continue to provide financial support for poor nations to cope with climate change and encourages other countries to join in on a voluntary basis.
Finally, the pact promises to make an assessment of progress in 2018, with further reviews every five years.

In my opinion, I think that this agreement is very important for the future of the world, because if we don't respect de climate, the climate change will get worse. If all countries respect this agreement we will progress the climate change.

OPINION ESSAY: VIDEOGAMES

Are videogames harnful? In my opinion kids between
five and fourteen should be cotrolled by their parents when they play videogames because it is very easy to be come addicted to them. Kids can spend hours playimg videogames if nobody controls them. Some videogames are a bad influence or violent and children can get bad habits. Lots of videogames are not suitable for children but the parents do not realise this.

I strongly belibe that children play videogames all day and they do not study or do their homework and their school marks get worse and for their future, this can cause problems. Sometimes the parents do not realise this because they are working or they do not know if the children are working or playing videogames.
Moreover it is an expensive hobby because first you buy the videogame console, secondly you must buy the games. The videogame console could about 200€ and the videogames could cost about 50€ each. For this reason it is a very expensive hobby.
In conclusion, videogames can be bad for you if you do not use them carefully. And you waste a lot of money. The parents should know what their kids are doing in their free time

TALKING ABOUT REVOLUTION (LYRICS + OPINION)

LYRIC:
Don't you know

They're talkin' 'bout a revolution
It sounds like a whisper
Don't you know
They're talkin' about a revolution
It sounds like a whisper
While they're standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sitting around waiting for a promotion
Don't you know
They're talkin' 'bout a revolution
It sounds like a whisper
Poor people gonna rise up
And get their share
Poor people gonna rise up
And take what's theirs
Don't you know
You better run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run
Oh I said you better
Run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run
'Cause finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin' bout a revolution
Yes, finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin' bout a revolution, oh no
Talkin' bout a revolution, oh
While they're standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sitting around waiting for a promotion
Don't you know
They're talkin' 'bout a revolution
It sounds like a whisper
And finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin' bout a revolution
Yes, finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin' bout a revolution, oh no
Talkin' bout a revolution, oh no

Talkin' bout a revolution, oh no

OPINION:
This song is about the poor people who want a revolution, it is so sad because
you feel the pain that feeled them in that time.

NEWS: RE-IMAGINING THE MEGAYACHT

Summary:

This news is about a luxury yacht that a man of Monaco was requested at the Alan Factory. The boss of Alan, Ozcan, with the help of Foster +Partners (study of architecture) have been launched.
Ozcan confirmed he had never seen an exterior and interior design as sleek and original as this.
Foster, has used bleached oak, white leather, stainless steel and white onyx for to interior, and the exterior Foster has developed a flexible interior “pod” that can be configured in up to three cabins. Also the yacht have two kitchens. For Ozcan is a floating house.
To conclude, the cruise speed is 41 knots and the maximum speed is the 45knots, and the Alan 68 costs about $3.7million.

Opinion:

I've always said that those who can live luxuriously take advantage so maybe in the future have nothing.
I like the yacht, but more on interior. The priceis very expensive, but it is luxury and  runs too much. If I had the money I would buy it.

MY WORLD: EXAMS

I don't understand why we do exams, an exam is only a piece of papper and everybody gets nervous, me too. You study four or five hours depend the subject and after during the exam yout mind blank, and I would like to propose to do a project, orals presentation of the chapters of the subject and only do exams in chemistry and maths and that's all.
Often when you finish the exam, the firts thing your want to do is forget everything and have a rest . In my opinión it is better to do exams during the firts hour or after break time, because in the morning your mind is fresh and after break time because you can revise.
In most exams, there is not enough time to finish and even less for revising and after the mark is bad. For exapmle: Spanish, Maths...
From my point of view exams are necessary but not for all the subjects. I whope when I am older and if I go to univerisy I will see things differently because then I will be studing what I really like.

ROMANTIC FILM

My Girl is a 1991 American comedy-drama film directed by Howard Zieff and written by Laurice Elehwany. The film, starring Macaulay Culkin and Anna Chlumsky in her feature film debut, depicts the coming-of-age of a young girl who faces many different emotional highs and lows.
The movie is set in Madison, Pennsylvania, in the summer of 1972. Vada Sultenfuss (Anna Chlumsky) is a 11-year-old girl and a hypochondriac. Vada's father, Harry Sultenfuss (Dan Aykroyd), is an awkward widower who does not seem to understand his daughter, and as a result, constantly ignores her. His profession as a funeral director.
Vada Sultenfuss is teased by other girls because her best friend, Thomas J. Sennett (Macaulay Culkin), is unpopular and a boy. Their summer adventuresfrom first kiss to last farewellintroduce Vada to the world of adolescence. From here she is in love and Thomas wants to give him a ring, but he lost in the Woods and died from an allergic reaction to bee stings.

I think that a film pure love, romantic and bitter love.

Alejandro Agag, presidentof the formula E, has announced it will introduce a driverless championship from next year (roborace). The racing of Robo Race will be in the same place so far and many car manufacturers are already developing the first type of electric cars, amateurs and professionals can participate.
Formula E has been operating for two years and has become well-known for crowdsourcing initiatives that allows fans to vote to give their favourite driver a boost during races.

Gasoline engine

Opinion:

Electric engine
I am happy for to know that there are electric car racing, is an improvement for our future, but I'm not so excited that a robot drive the car. I like the automobile and prefer to hear and smell one gasoline engine before that one electric. Another difference is the speed and  I adore the speed, I can not change the speed because I carry with me.

News: Animals in Peru

The other news is an issue what happens around the world, but in this case it is about Peru.
A group of people selling animals in catalogues and on public roads, in terrible conditions, have been arrested and inside the house found 100 animals and 40 of them are puppies.

When I said before that happens around the world, I meant that abandoning and mistreating animals is frequent.
I believe in reincarnation and I have always thought that we will become aminals, you like to have a miserable life and suffering. Therefore, if you do not look capable of caring for a pet directly don't buy a pet.
I just want to say that the animals never will hurt, you either.

MY WORLD: TV RUBBISH

On TV, especially Tele5 there are a lot of TV programmes which are rubbish. One example is Supervivientes it is about a group of people who try to survive in Honduras. They survivers by fishing, making a fire... and every Tuesday they have a tast for a reward that can be food or materials to do something.

The survivor that wins gets 400.000 euros and becomes famous and now young people belive they are the best.
Another programme is Gran Hermano or Salvame that at the beginning of the year people voted to eliminate this channel, but this is Spain.  Other channels that show TV Rubbish are Antena3, MTV...

My opinion on this subject is that the young people like it. I watch these programmes but at the same time I’m watching stupied people , because they don’t know how to express themselves and they talk a lot but about nothing in particular.

MY WORLD: HUMAN TOWERS IN SPAIN

This news talks about human tower, Catalan culture which makes me excited as this is my land.
The news says that on 26 October celebrated the competition which is held every two years and that they attended thousands of people.
Also explain how it works and some teams that participated and finally say who was the winner.

Always is nice to acknowledge effort and passion they put into doing it simultaneously, not just here but around the world.
I think and I hope people around the world respect the culture like other because it is from the 18th century that it's celebrate.
To sum up I would like the "castellers" to grow up more and all the people should respect it as a sport, because the strength and skill is needed.
In conclusion my land is the best one.

QUESTIONS OF THE SHINING

1 Why exactly is this film (and the book it was based upon) called "The Shining"?
Because the boy has a paranormal power.

2 What exactly happened to Jack? Why is he in that picture at the end of the movie?
Jack became crazy. Became he also worked in that hotel

3 Who hurt Danny after his visit to room 237?
Jack was who hurt Danny

4 After saying that he would sell his soul for just one beer, Jack looks up and greets the barman Lloyd. Since this was Jack's first time at the hotel, how could he have known the barman's name?

Because he alse worked in that hotel

5 Who or what is actually possessing the Overlook Hotel? Also, why do the said possessors want to drive Jack Torrance insane?
Suart Ullman

6 What is the significance of the man in the Chipmunk costume with the man in tuxedo seen by Wendy in the bedroom ? What are they supposed to be doing?
I sopouse that the man in the Chimpunk costume is a ghost and he is a "bitch"

7 "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" is supposed to be scary, but I don't understand. Why is it scary and what does it mean?
If you work a lot and you don't lose time doing anything you will be a important person, Jack don't wants that his son was a failed

8 Who is Tony?

Tony is the double personality of Danny, he knows the future

9 We see Jack in the picture at the end of the film which was painted in 1921 which I guess means that Nicholson was either possessed or reincarnated...but does anyone have a definite answer? Or does Kubrick just want us to decide for ourselves?

I think that Jack is a rencarnation of the murder of the hotel, for this reason the history repeats.

10 Who is the old woman in room 237 and what is her significance?

I think that is a imagination of Danny for teach his mother to the hotel is dangerous

11 Does Danny's ability to "shine" have any connection to Jack's insanity and the events that occur in the hotel?
I think that the ability of Danny has a connection with Jack because Tony allways knows what Jack will do

12 If Jack is a reincarnation, how does he not know Danny possesses the shining? The other ghosts, such as Delbert Grady, who have always been there, can see Danny's talent. If Jack has always been there, how come he can't see what Grady sees?

Because Jack doesn't have the "shine"

DESCRIBING A PHOTO

In this picture we can see a very famous actor hugging a swan. This actor is Leonardo Di Caprio. In the baackground we can see field. He is on the right of the image. He is wearing a black jersey. His hair is short and wavy. The photo is black and white. He seems unhappy and thoughtful. The swam is wrapped arround his neck. The animal is real and it isn't dead or drugged. The people think that swon is behaving this way because Di Caprio loves animals.

In my opinion I like this photo very much because it is black and white amd I prefer them to coloured ones. Di Caprio is a good actor and I like the swans too. This photographer has taken a lot of photographs of other famous people such as John Lennon, Michel Jackson, Queen Elisabeth and Miley Cyrus to name a few.

NEWS IN LEVELS

Last June, people unveiled a statue of Lionel Messi in Buenos Aires, and just this week, vandals removed its head and torso.
City officials say that work is already underway to repair the statue, but the sports star’s legs and football are all that remain at the moment.
This was not the first time that a statue on the Paseo de la Gloria was vandalisedpreviously, someone stole a tennis racket from a statue of Gabriela Sabatini on the same street.

I think that what they have done is wrong because if you don't like something (in this case Messi, you don't have to go to destroy his statue. If you don't like Lionel Messi you have to respect him and his things.

MY WORLD: TATTOS AND PIERCINGS

Nowadays tattoos and piercings are fashionable and more people do this. The tattoos are a thing that you will have all your life. People prefer to do a small and significate tattoo for example the date of your parents birthdays, but other people like the big and insignificate tattoos. When you have a tattoo, after you can't not give blood and I ask a qüestion, which is better a significate thing that you can remember in your head or not to give blood when your son needs it.
I prefer not to do any tattoo, because also depending on the job tou want you can't get it.
One the other hand, the piercings are more normal depending on the place, but somethings people put piercing in ears. The new generation of girls do the piercings in their bely to show their tummy.

MY FAVOURITE IMAGE

This photo was taken just above the camels in the desert at sunset. It is considered one of the best photos of the year of the National Geographic. If you look carefully, the camels are the white parts of the image. The black parts are their shadows. Widen the image and don't think the black parts are the camels.

I have chosen this photo because I found it interesting amd when you look at the photo you immediatly think that the black parts are the camels and you don't see that the white parts are really the camels.

MY WORLD: FAST FOOD

Nearly everybody likes food. Lots of people in the world eat fast food. The biggest chain of fast food restaurants is McDonald’s. Fast food is hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, nuggets, etc.
This food is not very healthy because it’s very greasy. You shouldn’t eat it often but if you eat it sometimes it isn’t harmful.

I don’t like fast food because I hate their hamburgers. I never go to fast food restaurant, I prefer eating at home or eating in a normal restaurant.
